YDA will come to Topeka in 2011

kyd After months of hard work and many conversations yesterday lasting until 4 this morning, the votes have been cast and unfortunately we did not get the 2010 Winter Conference we were originally bidding for.

However as a sign of our hard work and dedication to YDA the decision was made to grant Topeka the 2011 Winter Conference! This is a great chance for the Democrats of Kansas, and Topeka as a whole, to show YDA what Kansas is all about.

This is an exciting moment for us. We are over a year out which gives us plenty of time to make this the best conference we can.

I would personally like to thank everyone for their support but especially the officers that fought so hard for us during the voting process. With out you all we would not be able to have such a great opportunity, and we are proud to except the conference.

I would also like to thank our state party for being so supportive of the bid and doing all they could to help us bring this to Kansas. We look forward to hosting the 2011 Young Democrats of America Winter Conference, and working with everyone in the planning process.

Democratically yours,

Colin Curtis

State President
